Khao Lak

Khao Lak was a center for beach resorts and famous for scuba diving trips before the tsunami hit the resort. The devastating tragedy took the lives of 4000 people including some tourists and that is what had made the economy of this resort fall as most of the hotels very destroyed and wrecked. It also awaits a large national park so there is a lot more than diving so if you are not a very sporty person you don't have to worry thinking that going there is a waste but there are plenty of things that can engage you to have a good vacation.
